Growing the field of investment into Regenerative Agriculture

What is RAIN?

Founded in 2016, RAIN is designed to increase education, community, and sharing of opportunities within the regenerative agriculture and food space. The community is already comprised of over 200 like-minded investors and philanthropic leaders.

The History

Originally seeded by LIFT Economy in 2016, the RAIN network was bolstered through a Conservation Innovation Grant from the USDA's Natural Resources Conservation Service, in partnership with the Delta Institute. In 2018 - 2019, over a dozen gatherings were held across the country with numerous aligned partners. Since the COVID pandemic, we've brought our curated events online with the same opportunity to network and share best practices with other investors interested in propelling regenerative agriculture forward.

The Community

How do we capture the carbon farming potential of restoring and enhancing ecosystem and soil health while providing food, fiber and other human material needs? Through open networking and light facilitation we will make sure you come away with a clearer understanding of the investment and philanthropic opportunities within regenerative, climate-beneficial agriculture and land use projects.

Mission

The mission of the network is to increase shared literacy, understanding of deal flow, and investment opportunities in the regenerative agriculture space.

“Attending a RAIN event in fall 2019 led to the founding of Provenance Capital Group with a few of the people I met - needless to say, I was impressed with the caliber of people, and ideas that were shared.”
